Privacy Policy
I am ICO ( https://ico.org.uk/ ) registered with regard to data protection and comply with protection of information emailed to me and from me.
Phone numbers and email addresses will be deleted when you stop counselling. I do not contact any clients through social media. Any communication we have through texts or emails will be deleted when we finish working together.
All client notes are held in written form in hard copy. Handwritten notes are identified in code being stored separately from any email details. Both forms of data are locked in separate cabinets and I alone have access. These notes will be destroyed 7 years after all counselling has ended in keeping with my accreditation body the BACP.
No data is passed onto a third party unless for legal or safeguarding reasons and prior consent by you will always be obtained.
All records pertaining to payment of my services are similarly protected and only kept in written form. I am obliged legally to hold these details for tax purposes but again these details will be destroyed after the obligatory period of time.
